Thank you for the letter dated 24 August 2010, received 30 August 2010 denying my accountant's 2 June 2010 T3012A submission. As per your suggestion, I have withdrawn $2348. (on 31 August 2010) from my RSP account. Subsequently, I asked my accountant to do the T1-OVP form but he declined, citing an inability to "understand the thinking at CRA". So I've attempted to do the form myself, basically copying the worksheets that you mailed me for the years 2007-2010 (thank you) — modifying the 2010 worksheet by the RSP withdrawal. I have left step 2 of the T1-OVP blank because I am unsure of what it asks for, but I trust that this will not have interfered with the calculation of the tax penalty. I enclose a cheque for $1017.20.
