There was a witness to the break-and-enter robbery of my son's basement apartment one week ago — but she is not talking. Rusty is somewhat bigger than Hazel and doesn't mind being picked up and held. There is an argument here that a dog might have been a deterrent to the intrusion, but a dog might also have been hurt (or even killed) under the right (i.e., wrong) circumstances.
