Driving dangerous
On Monday, we were returning home from a walk at Humber Bay Park (on Lake Ontario) when the driver of the car in front of us thought it imperative to pass the car in front of him — on the left, across a yellow solid line, and with a pedestrian crosswalk dead ahead.
Perhaps because I’ve been a pedestrian most of my life, dangerous drivers annoy me immensely. Automobiles already have a distinct advantage over unarmored humans: Ignoring the rules of the road is not unlike randomly shooting a gun in public: Sooner or later someone is going to get hit.
